what is a polished concrete floor?

In an industrial setting - a great thick slab of concrete which has the surface ground or polished to give a really shiny hard and dense surface.

It can be emulated with a ‘micro-concrete’ slab which can be as little as a few millimetres thick. Please be aware that polished concrete does crack (especially with underfloor heating) and the cracks and pores in the material do allow for a certain degree of staining.

If this is not an acceptable feature please ask about our 'concrete look' resin floors which are guaranteed crack-free and offer superior stain resistance.

This surface can be installed as concrete grey with tonal variations derived from such an organic compound or coloured to impart the approximate hue of specific colours into your concrete.

This type of floor is hard to the touch and colour is only approximate.

Underfloor heating can be incorporated.

For residential projects we generally advise against polished concrete.
